⁴ Then the men of Judah came and there ^(A)anointed David king over the house of Judah.

And they told David, saying, “It was ^(B)the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.”

³ So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David ^(A)cut a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh; then ^(B)they anointed David king over Israel.

⁵ At Hebron ^(A)he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
