¹³ Then Samuel took the horn of oil and ^(A)anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and ^(B)the Spirit of Yahweh ^[a]came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

⁴ Then the men of Judah came and there ^(A)anointed David king over the house of Judah.

And they told David, saying, “It was ^(B)the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.”
