18 Then the captain of the guard took (A)Seraiah the chief priest and (B)Zephaniah the second priest, with the three [a]doorkeepers of the temple. 19 And from the city he took one official who was overseer of the men of war, and (C)five [b]of the king’s advisers who were found in the city; and the [c]scribe of the commander of the army who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city. 20 And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and led them to the king of Babylon at (D)Riblah. 21 Then the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. (E)So Judah went into exile from its land.

Then the (D)king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah (E)before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slaughtered all the (F)nobles of Judah. He then (G)blinded Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in (H)fetters of bronze to bring him to (I)Babylon. The Chaldeans also (J)burned with fire the house of the king and the houses of the people, and they (K)tore down the walls of Jerusalem. And as for the rest of the people who remained in the city, the [b](L)defectors who had gone over to him and (M)the rest of the people who remained, (N)Nebuzaradan the (O)captain of the bodyguard took them away into exile in Babylon.
