And [a]they went by way of the Arabah. But the military force of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho and all his military force was scattered from him. Then the (D)king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah (E)before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slaughtered all the (F)nobles of Judah. He then (G)blinded Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in (H)fetters of bronze to bring him to (I)Babylon.
