¹³ Then hurriedly they all took their cloaks and spread them for him on the bare^[a] steps, and they blew the trumpet and proclaimed, “Jehu is king.”^(A)

⁷ Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. ⁸ Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields.

³⁹ There the priest Zadok took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!”^(A)

³⁴ There let the priest Zadok and the prophet Nathan anoint him king over Israel; then blow the trumpet and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!’^(A)

⁷ they brought the donkey and the colt and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on them. ⁸ A very large crowd^[a] spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.^(A)
