²⁹ “And this shall be ^(A)the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. Then in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

⁸ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?” ⁹ And Isaiah said, “This shall be ^(A)the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he has promised: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”

²⁰ And if you say, ^(A)‘What shall we eat in the seventh year, if ^(B)we may not sow or gather in our crop?’ ²¹ I will ^(C)command my blessing on you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years. ^22 (D)When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating some of ^(E)the old crop; you shall eat the old until the ninth year, when its crop arrives.

¹² He said, ^(A)“But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, ^(B)you shall serve God on this mountain.”

¹² And ^(A)this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby ^(B)wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
