⁹ Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, ^(A)does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching ^(B)has both the Father and the Son.

¹⁶ So Jesus answered them, ^(A)“My teaching is not mine, but his ^(B)who sent me. ^17 (C)If anyone's will is to do God's^[a] will, ^(D)he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I ^(E)am speaking on my own authority.

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, ^(B)singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ^(C)with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

²² Who is the liar but ^(A)he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is ^(B)the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. ^23 (C)No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. ²⁴ Let ^(D)what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then ^(E)you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.

^3 (A)that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed ^(B)our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
