^25 (A)When they had gone from him (for they left him very sick), his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the ^[a]son of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.

^27 (A)So Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem, for they did not bring him into the tombs of the kings of ^(B)Israel; and Hezekiah his son became king in his place.
