Expanded Bible
2 Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he ·ruled [reigned] one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri. 3 Ahaziah ·followed [L walked in] the ways of Ahab’s ·family [L house], because his mother ·encouraged [counseled; advised] him to do ·wrong [evil]. 4 Ahaziah did ·what the Lord said was wrong [L evil in the Lord’s sight/eyes], as Ahab’s ·family [L house] had done. They ·gave advice to Ahaziah [were his counselors] after his father died, ·and their bad advice led to his death [leading to his destruction].

New International Version
2 Ahaziah was twenty-two[a] years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother’s name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri.
3 He too followed(A) the ways of the house of Ahab,(B) for his mother encouraged him to act wickedly. 4 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as the house of Ahab had done, for after his father’s death they became his advisers, to his undoing.
