2 Chronicles 17:4-6
New Living Translation
4 He sought his father’s God and obeyed his commands instead of following the evil practices of the kingdom of Israel. 5 So the Lord established Jehoshaphat’s control over the kingdom of Judah. All the people of Judah brought gifts to Jehoshaphat, so he became very wealthy and highly esteemed. 6 He was deeply committed to[a] the ways of the Lord. He removed the pagan shrines and Asherah poles from Judah.

4 but sought(A) the God of his father and followed his commands rather than the practices of Israel. 5 The Lord established the kingdom under his control; and all Judah brought gifts(B) to Jehoshaphat, so that he had great wealth and honor.(C) 6 His heart was devoted(D) to the ways of the Lord; furthermore, he removed the high places(E) and the Asherah poles(F) from Judah.(G)
