⁹ By this the love of God was revealed ^[a](A)in us, that ^(B)God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, ^(C)not that we loved God, but that ^(D)He loved us and sent His Son to be ^(E)the ^[b]propitiation for our sins.

^6 (A)If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we ^(B)lie and ^(C)do not practice the truth; ⁷ but if we ^(D)walk in the Light as ^(E)He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(F)the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

²⁹ The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him, and *said, “Behold, ^(A)the Lamb of God who ^(B)takes away the sin of the world!
