1 Timothy 1:8-11

8 Now we know that (A)the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 understanding this, that the (B)law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers,[a] liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to (C)sound[b] doctrine, 11 in accordance with (D)the gospel of the glory of (E)the blessed God (F)with which I have been entrusted.

8 But we know that the law is good,(A) provided one uses it legitimately. 9 We know that the law is not meant for a righteous person, but for the lawless and rebellious,(B) for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and irreverent, for those who kill their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral(C) and homosexuals,(D) for kidnappers,[a] liars,(E) perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching(F) 11 based on the glorious gospel(G) of the blessed God,(H) which was entrusted to me.(I)
