1 John 4:13-16

13 (A)By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. 14 We have seen and (B)testify that the Father has (C)sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 (D)Whoever confesses that (E)Jesus is the Son of God, God (F)remains in him, and he in God. 16 (G)We have come to know and have believed the love which God has [a](H)for us. (I)God is love, and the one who (J)remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

International Standard Version
13 This is how we know that we abide in him and he in us: he has given us his Spirit.
14 We have seen for ourselves and can testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 God abides in the one who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and he abides in God. 16 We have come to know and rely on[a] the love that God has for us. God is love, and the person who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
