Judgment on False Teachers

³ Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our ^(A)common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you ^(B)to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

²⁴ And ^(A)the Lord's servant^[a] must not be quarrelsome but ^(B)kind to everyone, ^(C)able to teach, patiently enduring evil, ²⁵ correcting his opponents ^(D)with gentleness. God ^(E)may perhaps grant them repentance ^(F)leading to a knowledge of the truth, ²⁶ and they may come to their senses and escape from ^(G)the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

¹⁴ so that we may no longer be children, ^(A)tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in ^(B)deceitful schemes. ¹⁵ Rather, ^(C)speaking the truth in love, we are to ^(D)grow up in every way into him who is ^(E)the head, into Christ,

Judging Others

7 ^(A)“Judge not, that you be not judged. ^2 (B)For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and ^(C)with the measure you use it will be measured to you. ³ Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but ^(D)do not notice the log that is in your own eye? ⁴ Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
