^3 (A)who forbid marriage and ^(B)require abstinence from foods ^(C)that God created ^(D)to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

^4 (A)Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge ^(B)the sexually immoral and adulterous.

⁴ For ^(A)everything created by God is good, and ^(B)nothing is to be rejected if it is ^(C)received with thanksgiving,

⁶ The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since ^(A)he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.

^3 (A)Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And ^(B)as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Let No One Disqualify You

¹⁶ Therefore let no one ^(A)pass judgment on you ^(B)in questions of food and drink, or with regard to ^(C)a festival or ^(D)a new moon or a Sabbath.

³⁰ If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that ^(A)for which I give thanks?

³¹ So, whether you eat or drink, or ^(B)whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

^8 (A)Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.

²⁸ But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman^[a] marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that.

⁹ Do not be ^(A)led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, ^(B)not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.
