¹⁵ if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

^21 (A)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into ^(B)a holy temple in the Lord. ²² In him ^(C)you also are being built together ^(D)into a dwelling place for God by^[a] the Spirit.

⁹ For they themselves report concerning us the kind of ^(A)reception we had among you, and how ^(B)you turned to God ^(C)from idols to serve the living and ^(D)true God,

¹⁸ And I tell you, ^(A)you are Peter, and ^(B)on this rock^[a] I will build my church, and ^(C)the gates of ^(D)hell^[b] shall not prevail against it. ¹⁹ I will give you ^(E)the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and ^(F)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[c] in heaven.”

^13 (A)Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the rules that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. ^(B)Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed.

⁴ that the Lord may ^(A)establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, ^(B)‘If your sons pay close attention to their way, ^(C)to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, ^(D)you shall not lack^[a] a man on the throne of Israel.’

⁹ and when James and Cephas and John, ^(A)who seemed to be ^(B)pillars, perceived the ^(C)grace that was given to me, they ^(D)gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
