⁸ For from you the word of the Lord ^(A)has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also ^(B)in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.

Desire to Visit Rome

⁸ First, ^(A)I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that ^(B)your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

⁴ so that ^(A)we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God ^(B)for your patience and faith ^(C)in all your persecutions and ^[a]tribulations that you endure,

Israel Rejects the Gospel

¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear ^(A)without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ^(C)“Lord, who has believed our report?” ¹⁷ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

¹⁸ But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed:

¹⁷ And the Spirit and ^(A)the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” ^(B)And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

The Proclamations of Three Angels

⁶ Then I saw another angel ^(A)flying in the midst of heaven, ^(B)having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—^(C)to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—

¹² Demetrius ^(A)has a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself. And we also ^[a]bear witness, ^(B)and you know that our testimony is true.
