⁴⁸ King Alexander assembled a great army and encamped opposite Demetrius. ⁴⁹ When the two kings met in battle, the army of Demetrius fled, and Alexander pursued him and defeated his soldiers. ⁵⁰ The battle raged fiercely until sunset, and Demetrius was killed on that day.
