⁴⁰ I also promise an annual grant of fifteen thousand shekels out of the king’s revenues from appropriate places. ⁴¹ As for the additional funds that the officials have not paid as was done in previous years, they shall henceforth be handed over for the needs of the temple. ⁴² Furthermore, the five thousand silver shekels that used to be taken annually from the income of the temple will no longer be collected, since these funds belong to the priests who minister there.
