²⁵ Therefore, he sent them this message: “King Demetrius sends greetings to the Jewish nation. ²⁶ We have heard of how you have honored our agreement with us and have continued to maintain our friendship, and that you have not transferred your allegiance to our enemies. At this news we rejoice.
