¹¹ He ordered those entrusted with the work to build the walls and to encircle Mount Zion with squared stones for its fortification, and this task was accomplished.

¹² The foreigners who occupied the fortresses built by Bacchides abandoned them; ¹³ all of them deserted their posts and fled to their own lands.
