Isaskars ättlingar

Isaskars söner var Tola, Pua, Jashuv och Shimron, alltså fyra.

Tolas söner var Ussi, Refaja, Jeriel, Jachmaj, Jivsam och Samuel, familjeöverhuvuden för dem som härstammade från Tola, tappra krigare, uppskrivna i släktregister. På kung Davids tid var deras antal 22 600.

Ussis söner var Jisrachja, Mikael, Obadja, Joel och Jishia, som var överhuvuden. Enligt deras släktregister tillhörde deras familjer en skara av 36 000 krigsberedda män, för de hade många hustrur och många barn.

Deras släktingar i Isaskars alla släkter var tappra krigare. Deras totala antal uppgick till 87 000, upptecknade i deras släktregister.

Benjamins ättlingar

Benjamins söner var Bela, Beker och Jediael, alltså tre.

Belas söner var Esbon, Ussi, Ussiel, Jerimot och Iri, alltså fem, familjeöverhuvuden och tappra krigare. De var sammanlagt 22 034, upptecknade i släktregistret.

Bekers söner var Semira, Joash, Elieser, Eljoenaj, Omri, Jeremot, Avia, Anatot och Alemet. Alla dessa var Bekers söner. I deras släktregister var det 20 200 upptecknade familjeöverhuvuden, stridsdugliga män.

10 Jediaels son var Bilhan. Bilhans söner var Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaana, Setan, Tarshish och Achishachar. 11 Alla dessa var ättlingar till Jediael och överhuvuden för sina familjer, tappra krigare, 17 200 vapenföra män.

12 Shufam och Hufam var söner till Ir, och Hushim till Acher.

Naftalis ättlingar

13 Naftalis söner, ättlingar till Bilha, var Jachasiel, Guni, Jeser och Shallum.

Manasses ättlingar

14 Manasses söner var Asriel, genom hans arameiska bihustru, som också födde Makir, Gileads far. 15 Makir tog en hustru åt Hufam och Shufam. Han hade en syster som hette Maaka. En annan ättling var Selofchad, som bara hade döttrar.

16 Makirs hustru Maaka födde en son och gav honom namnet Peresh. Hans brors namn var Sheresh, och dennes söner var Ulam och Rekem.

17 Ulams son var Bedan. Dessa var alltså söner till Gilead, son till Makir, som var son till Manasse. 18 Hammoleket, hans syster, födde Ishhod, Avieser och Machla.

19 Shemidas söner var Achjan, Shekem, Likchi och Aniam.

Efraims ättlingar

20 Efraims ättlingar var Shutelach, vars son var Bered, vars son var Tachat, vars son var Elada, vars son var Tachat, 21 vars son var Savad, och vars son var Shutelach, samt Eser och Elad.

De dödades av några män i Gat, som var födda i landet, när de försökte ta deras boskapshjordar. 22 Deras far Efraim sörjde dem en lång tid, och hans bröder kom för att trösta honom. 23 Han låg igen med sin hustru, som blev gravid och födde honom en son. Han gav honom namnet Beria[a], för det hade skett under en olyckstid för hans familj. 24 Efraims dotter var Sheera, som byggde Nedre och Övre Bet Horon och Ussen Sheera.

25 Hans son var Refach, vars son var Reshef, vars son var Telach, vars son var Tachan, 26 vars son var Ladan, vars son var Ammihud, vars son var Elishama, 27 vars son Nun och vars son var Josua.

28 Deras områden och boplatser var Betel med kringliggande byar, Naaran österut, Geser och dess byar västerut och Shekem och dess byar ända bort till Aja och dess byar. 29 Längs gränsen till Manasse låg Bet-Shean med dess byar, Tanak med dess byar, Megiddo med dess byar och Dor med dess byar. Där bodde ättlingarna till Israels son Josef.

Ashers ättlingar

30 Ashers söner var Jimna, Jishva, Jishvi och Beria. Serach var deras syster.

31 Berias söner var Hever och Malkiel, Birsajits far.

32 Hever var far till Jaflet, Shomer[b] och Hotam. Shua var deras syster.

33 Jaflets söner var Pasak, Bimhal och Ashvat. Dessa var Jaflets söner.

34 Shomers söner var Ahi[c], Rohga, Hubba och Aram.

35 Hans bror Hotams[d] söner var Sofach, Jimna, Shelesh och Amal.

36 Sofachs söner var Suach, Harnefer, Shual, Beri, Jimra, 37 Beser, Hod, Shamma, Shilsha, Jitran och Beera.

38 Jeters söner var Jefunne, Pispa och Ara.

39 Ullas söner var Arach, Hanniel och Risja.

40 Alla dessa var ättlingar till Asher, familjeöverhuvuden, utvalda, skickliga krigare och utmärkta ledare. I släktregistret fanns 26 000 krigsdugliga män noterade.

The Family of Issachar(A)

The sons of Issachar were (B)Tola, [a]Puah, [b]Jashub, and Shimron—four in all. The sons of Tola were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father’s house. The sons of Tola were mighty men of valor in their generations; (C)their number in the days of David was twenty-two thousand six hundred. The son of Uzzi was Izrahiah, and the sons of Izrahiah were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Ishiah. All five of them were chief men. And with them, by their generations, according to their fathers’ houses, were thirty-six thousand troops ready for war; for they had many wives and sons.

Now their brethren among all the families of Issachar were mighty men of valor, listed by their genealogies, eighty-seven thousand in all.

The Family of Benjamin(D)

The sons of (E)Benjamin were Bela, Becher, and Jediael—three in all. The sons of Bela were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri—five in all. They were heads of their fathers’ houses, and they were listed by their genealogies, twenty-two thousand and thirty-four mighty men of valor.

The sons of Becher were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jerimoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these are the sons of Becher. And they were recorded by genealogy according to their generations, heads of their fathers’ houses, twenty thousand two hundred mighty men of valor. 10 The son of Jediael was Bilhan, and the sons of Bilhan were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tharshish, and Ahishahar.

11 All these sons of Jediael were heads of their fathers’ houses; there were seventeen thousand two hundred mighty men of valor fit to go out for war and battle. 12 [c]Shuppim and [d]Huppim were the sons of [e]Ir, and Hushim was the son of [f]Aher.

The Family of Naphtali(F)

13 The (G)sons of Naphtali were [g]Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and [h]Shallum, the sons of Bilhah.

The Family of Manasseh (West)

14 The (H)descendants of Manasseh: his Syrian concubine bore him (I)Machir the father of Gilead, the father of Asriel. 15 Machir took as his wife the sister of [i]Huppim and [j]Shuppim, whose name was Maachah. The name of Gilead’s [k]grandson was (J)Zelophehad, but Zelophehad begot only daughters. 16 (Maachah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Peresh. The name of his brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem. 17 The son of Ulam was (K)Bedan.) These were the descendants of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

18 His sister Hammoleketh bore Ishhod, [l]Abiezer, and Mahlah.

19 And the sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.

The Family of Ephraim

20 (L)The sons of Ephraim were Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eladah his son, Tahath his son, 21 Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead. The men of Gath who were born in that land killed them because they came down to take away their cattle. 22 Then Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

23 And when he went in to his wife, she conceived and bore a son; and he called his name [m]Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house. 24 Now his daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper (M)Beth Horon and Uzzen Sheerah; 25 and Rephah was his son, as well as Resheph, and Telah his son, Tahan his son, 26 Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, (N)Elishama his son, 27 [n]Nun his son, and (O)Joshua his son.

28 Now their (P)possessions and dwelling places were Bethel and its towns: to the east [o]Naaran, to the west Gezer and its towns, and Shechem and its towns, as far as [p]Ayyah and its towns; 29 and by the borders of the children of (Q)Manasseh were Beth Shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, (R)Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel.

The Family of Asher(S)

30 (T)The sons of Asher were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. 31 The sons of Beriah were Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of [q]Birzaith. 32 And Heber begot Japhlet, [r]Shomer, [s]Hotham, and their sister Shua. 33 The sons of Japhlet were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were the children of Japhlet. 34 The sons of (U)Shemer were Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram. 35 And the sons of his brother Helem were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal. 36 The sons of Zophah were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, 37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, [t]Jithran, and Beera. 38 The sons of Jether were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara. 39 The sons of Ulla were Arah, Haniel, and Rizia.

40 All these were the children of Asher, heads of their fathers’ houses, choice men, mighty men of valor, chief leaders. And they were recorded by genealogies among the army fit for battle; their number was twenty-six thousand.

Issachar’s Descendants

Issachar had four sons. Their names were Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron.

Tola’s sons were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Samuel. They were all leaders of their families. Those men and their descendants were strong soldiers. Their families grew. By the time David was king, there were 22,600 men ready for war.

Uzzi’s son was Izrahiah. Izrahiah’s sons were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five of them were leaders of their families. Their family history shows they had 36,000 soldiers ready for war. They had a large family because they had many wives and children.

The family history shows there were 87,000 strong soldiers in all the tribes of Issachar.

Benjamin’s Descendants

Benjamin had three sons. Their names were Bela, Beker, and Jediael.

Bela had five sons. Their names were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. They were leaders of their families. Their family history shows they had 22,034 soldiers.

Beker’s sons were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. They all were Beker’s children. Their family history shows who the family leaders were. And it also shows they had 20,200 soldiers.

10 Jediael’s son was Bilhan. Bilhan’s sons were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. 11 All of Jediael’s sons were leaders of their families. They had 17,200 soldiers ready for war.

12 The Shuppites and Huppites were the descendants of Ir. Hushim was the son of Aher.

Naphtali’s Descendants

13 Naphtali’s sons were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum.

And these are the descendants of Bilhah.[a]

Manasseh’s Descendants

14 These are Manasseh’s descendants: Manasseh’s Aramean slave woman had a son named Asriel. She also bore Makir, the father of Gilead. 15 Makir married a woman from the Huppites and Shuppites. Makir’s sister was named Maacah. The name of the second was Zelophehad, who had only daughters. 16 Makir’s wife Maacah had a son. She named this son Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh. The sons of Sheresh were Ulam and Rakem.

17 Ulam’s son was Bedan.

These were the descendants of Gilead. Gilead was Makir’s son. Makir was Manasseh’s son. 18 Makir’s sister Hammoleketh[b] had Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

19 Shemida’s sons were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.

Ephraim’s Descendants

20 These were the names of Ephraim’s descendants. Ephraim’s son was Shuthelah. Shuthelah’s son was Bered. Bered’s son was Tahath. 21 Tahath’s son was Eleadah. Eleadah’s son was Tahath. Tahath’s son was Zabad. Zabad’s son was Shuthelah.

Some men who grew up in the city of Gath killed Ezer and Elead. This happened because Ezer and Elead went there to steal cattle and sheep from those men in Gath. 22 Ephraim was the father of Ezer and Elead. He cried for many days because Ezer and Elead were dead. Ephraim’s family came to comfort him. 23 Then Ephraim had sexual relations with his wife. She became pregnant and had a son. Ephraim named this new son Beriah[c] because something bad had happened to his family. 24 Ephraim’s daughter was Sheerah. Sheerah built Lower Beth Horon and Upper Beth Horon and Lower Uzzen Sheerah and Upper Uzzen Sheerah.

25 Rephah was Ephraim’s son. Resheph was Rephah’s son. Telah was Resheph’s son. Tahan was Telah’s son. 26 Ladan was Tahan’s son. Ammihud was Ladan’s son. Elishama was Ammihud’s son. 27 Nun was Elishama’s son. Joshua was Nun’s son.

28 These are the cities and lands where Ephraim’s descendants lived: Bethel and the villages near it, Naaran to the east, Gezer and the villages near it on the west, and Shechem and the villages near it all the way to Ayyah and the villages near it. 29 Along the borders of Manasseh’s land were the towns of Beth Shan, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, and the small towns near them. The descendants of Joseph lived in these towns. Joseph was the son of Israel.

Asher’s Descendants

30 Asher’s sons were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah. Their sister was named Serah.

31 Beriah’s sons were Heber and Malkiel. Malkiel was Birzaith’s father.

32 Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and of their sister Shua.

33 Japhlet’s sons were Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s children.

34 Shomer’s sons were Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah,[d] and Aram.

35 Shomer’s brother was Helem. Helem’s sons were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.

36 Zophah’s sons were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, 37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.

38 Jether’s sons were Jephunneh, Pispah, and Ara.

39 Ulla’s sons were Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.

40 All these men were descendants of Asher. They were leaders of their families. They were the best men. They were soldiers and great leaders. Their family history shows 26,000 soldiers ready for war.
