⁴ and so that the Lord will carry out His promise that He made to me: ‘If your sons are careful to walk faithfully before Me with their whole mind and heart,^(A) you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’^(B)

⁸ And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and You have made me king in his place.^(A)
