²⁵ So King Solomon sent Benaiah son of Jehoiada; he struck him down, and he died.

¹⁸ Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over^[a] the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were priests.^(A)

⁴⁶ Then the king commanded Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck him down, and he died.

So the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.^(A)

³⁴ Then Benaiah son of Jehoiada went up and struck him down and killed him, and he was buried at his own house near the wilderness.

³¹ The king replied to him, “Do as he has said, strike him down and bury him, and thus take away from me and from my father’s house the guilt for the blood that Joab shed without cause.^(A)

¹² So David commanded the young men, and they killed them; they cut off their hands and feet and hung their bodies beside the pool at Hebron. But the head of Ishbaal^[a] they took and buried in the tomb of Abner at Hebron.^(A)

¹⁵ Then David called one of the young men and said, “Come here and strike him down.” So he struck him down, and he died.^(A)

²⁰ So he said to Jether his firstborn, “Go kill them!” But the boy did not draw his sword, for he was afraid, because he was still a boy. ²¹ Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “You come and kill us, for as the man is, so is his strength.” So Gideon went and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and he took the crescents that were on the necks of their camels.^(A)
