^26 (A)And Solomon gathered together ^(B)chariots and horsemen. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, whom he stationed in the ^(C)chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.

²⁵ And Solomon had ^(A)4,000 stalls for horses and chariots, and 12,000 horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.

^26 (A)Solomon also had 40,000^[a] stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12,000 horsemen.

¹⁹ and all the store cities that Solomon had, and ^(A)the cities for his chariots, and the cities for ^(B)his horsemen, and whatever Solomon ^(C)desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

¹⁶ Only he must not acquire many ^(A)horses for himself or cause the people ^(B)to return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you, ^(C)‘You shall never return that way again.’

Solomon Given Wealth

^14 (A)Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen. ^(B)He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, whom he stationed ^(C)in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. ¹⁵ And the king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stone, and he made cedar as plentiful as the sycamore of the Shephelah. ¹⁶ And Solomon's import of horses was from Egypt and Kue, and the king's traders would buy them from Kue for a price. ¹⁷ They imported a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels^[a] of silver, and a horse for 150. Likewise through them these were exported to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria.
