⁸ Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.^{(A) 9} This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son^(B) into the world that we might live through him.^(C)

¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.^(A) But the greatest of these is love.^(B)

² He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi,^(A) we know^(B) that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs^(C) you are doing if God were not with him.”^(D)
