⁸ the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.

Testimony Concerning the Son of God

⁶ This is he who came ^(A)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And ^(B)the Spirit is the one who testifies, because ^(C)the Spirit is the truth. ⁷ For there are three that testify:

²¹ Baptism, which corresponds to this, ^(A)now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but ^(B)as an appeal to God for a good conscience, ^(C)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

²⁶ “But ^(A)when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, ^(B)he will bear witness about me.

² And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like ^(A)a mighty rushing wind, and ^(B)it filled the entire house where they were sitting. ³ And divided tongues ^(C)as of fire appeared to them and rested^[a] on each one of them. ⁴ And they were all ^(D)filled with the Holy Spirit and began ^(E)to speak in other tongues ^(F)as the Spirit gave them utterance.

^56 (A)For many bore false witness against him, but their testimony ^(B)did not agree.

^19 (A)Go therefore and ^(B)make disciples of ^(C)all nations, ^(D)baptizing them ^(E)in^{[a] (F)}the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

¹² So Jesus also ^(A)suffered ^(B)outside the gate in order to sanctify the people ^(C)through his own blood.

⁴ For it is impossible, in the case of those ^(A)who have once been enlightened, who have tasted ^(B)the heavenly gift, and ^(C)have shared in the Holy Spirit,
