Ond Er, cyntaf‐anedig Jwda, ydoedd ddrygionus yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd, ac efe a’i lladdodd ef. 4 A Thamar ei waudd ef a ymddûg iddo Phares a Sera. Holl feibion Jwda oedd bump. 5 Meibion Phares; Hesron a Hamul. 6 A meibion Sera; Simri, ac Ethan, a Heman, a Chalcol, a Dara; hwynt oll oedd bump. 7 A meibion Carmi; Achar, yr hwn a flinodd Israel, ac a wnaeth gamwedd oblegid y diofryd‐beth. 8 A meibion Ethan; Asareia. 9 A meibion Hesron, y rhai a anwyd iddo ef; Jerahmeel, a Ram, a Chelubai. 10 A Ram a genhedlodd Amminadab; ac Amminadab a genhedlodd Nahson, pennaeth meibion Jwda; 11 A Nahson a genhedlodd Salma; a Salma a genhedlodd Boas; 12 A Boas a genhedlodd Obed; ac Obed a genhedlodd Jesse;
13 A Jesse a genhedlodd ei gyntaf‐anedig Eliab, ac Abinadab yn ail, a Simma yn drydydd, 14 Nethaneel yn bedwerydd, Radai yn bumed, 15 Osem yn chweched, Dafydd yn seithfed: 16 A’u chwiorydd hwynt oedd Serfia ac Abigail. A meibion Serfia; Abisai, a Joab, ac Asahel, tri. 17 Ac Abigail a ymddûg Amasa. A thad Amasa oedd Jether yr Ismaeliad.
18 A Chaleb mab Hesron a enillodd blant o Asuba ei wraig, ac o Jerioth: a dyma ei meibion hi; Jeser, Sobab, ac Ardon. 19 A phan fu farw Asuba, Caleb a gymerth iddo Effrath, a hi a ymddûg iddo Hur. 20 A Hur a genhedlodd Uri, ac Uri a genhedlodd Besaleel.
21 Ac wedi hynny yr aeth Hesron i mewn at ferch Machir, tad Gilead, ac efe a’i priododd hi pan ydoedd fab trigain mlwydd; a hi a ddug iddo Segub. 22 A Segub a genhedlodd Jair: ac yr oedd iddo ef dair ar hugain o ddinasoedd yng ngwlad Gilead. 23 Ac efe a enillodd Gesur, ac Aram, a threfydd Jair oddi arnynt, a Chenath a’i phentrefydd, sef trigain o ddinasoedd. Y rhai hyn oll oedd eiddo meibion Machir tad Gilead. 24 Ac ar ôl marw Hesron o fewn Caleb-effrata, Abeia gwraig Hesron a ymddûg iddo Asur, tad Tecoa.
25 A meibion Jerahmeel cyntaf‐anedig Hesron oedd, Ram yr hynaf, Buna, ac Oren, ac Osem, ac Ahïa. 26 A gwraig arall ydoedd i Jerahmeel, a’i henw Atara: hon oedd fam Onam. 27 A meibion Ram cyntaf‐anedig Jerahmeel oedd, Maas, a Jamin, ac Ecer. 28 A meibion Onam oedd Sammai, a Jada. A meibion Sammai; Nadab, ac Abisur. 29 Ac enw gwraig Abisur oedd Abihail: a hi a ymddûg iddo Aban, a Molid. 30 A meibion Nadab; Seled, ac Appaim. A bu farw Seled yn ddi‐blant. 31 A meibion Appaim; Isi. A meibion Isi; Sesan. A meibion Sesan; Alai. 32 A meibion Jada brawd Sammai; Jether, a Jonathan. 34 Ac nid oedd i Sesan feibion, ond merched: ac i Sesan yr oedd gwas o Eifftiad, a’i enw Jarha. 35 A Sesan a roddodd ei ferch yn wraig i Jarha ei was. A hi a ymddûg iddo Attai. 36 Ac Attai a genhedlodd Nathan, a Nathan a genhedlodd Sabad. 37 A Sabad a genhedlodd Efflal, ac Efflal a genhedlodd Obed, 38 Ac Obed a genhedlodd Jehu, a Jehu a genhedlodd Asareia, 39 Ac Asareia a genhedlodd Heles, a Heles a genhedlodd Eleasa, 40 Ac Eleasa a genhedlodd Sisamai, a Sisamai a genhedlodd Salum, 41 A Salum a genhedlodd Jecameia, a Jecameia a genhedlodd Elisama.
42 Hefyd meibion Caleb brawd Jerahmeel oedd, Mesa ei gyntaf‐anedig, hwn oedd dad Siff: a meibion Maresa tad Hebron. 43 A meibion Hebron; Cora, a Thappua, a Recem, a Sema. 44 A Sema a genhedlodd Raham, tad Jorcoam: a Recem a genhedlodd Sammai. 45 A mab Sammai oedd Maon: a Maon oedd dad Bethsur. 46 Ac Effa gordderchwraig Caleb a ymddûg Haran, a Mosa, a Gases: a Haran a genhedlodd Gases. 47 A meibion Jahdai; Regem, a Jotham, a Gesan, a Phelet, ac Effa, a Saaff. 48 Gordderchwraig Caleb, sef Maacha, a ymddûg Seber a Thirhana. 49 Hefyd hi a ymddûg Saaff tad Madmanna, Sefa tad Machbena, a thad Gibea: a merch Caleb oedd Achsa.
50 Y rhai hyn oedd feibion Caleb mab Hur, cyntaf‐anedig Effrata; Sobal tad Ciriath‐jearim, 51 Salma tad Bethlehem, Hareff tad Beth‐gader. 52 A meibion oedd i Sobal, tad Ciriath‐jearim: Haroe, a hanner y Manahethiaid, 53 A theuluoedd Ciriath‐jearim oedd yr Ithriaid, a’r Puhiaid, a’r Sumathiaid, a’r Misraiaid: o’r rhai hyn y daeth y Sareathiaid a’r Esthauliaid. 54 Meibion Salma; Bethlehem, a’r Netoffathiaid, Ataroth tŷ Joab, a hanner y Manahethiaid, y Soriaid. 55 A thylwyth yr ysgrifenyddion, y rhai a breswylient yn Jabes; y Tirathiaid, y Simeathiaid, y Suchathiaid. 2 These were the (B)sons of [a]Israel: (C)Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
From Judah to David(D)
3 The sons of (E)Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by the daughter of (F)Shua, the Canaanitess. (G)Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; so He killed him. 4 And (H)Tamar, his daughter-in-law, (I)bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5 The sons of (J)Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 6 The sons of Zerah were [b]Zimri, (K)Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [c]Dara—five of them in all.
7 The son of (L)Carmi was [d]Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the (M)accursed[e] thing.
8 The son of Ethan was Azariah.
9 Also the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, [f]Ram, and [g]Chelubai. 10 Ram (N)begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, (O)leader of the children of Judah; 11 Nahshon begot [h]Salma, and Salma begot Boaz; 12 Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse; 13 (P)Jesse begot Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, [i]Shimea the third, 14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, 15 Ozem the sixth, and David the (Q)seventh.
16 Now their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. (R)And the sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel—three. 17 Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was [j]Jether the Ishmaelite.
The Family of Hezron
18 Caleb the son of Hezron had children by Azubah, his wife, and by Jerioth. Now these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb [k]took (S)Ephrath[l] as his wife, who bore him Hur. 20 And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot (T)Bezalel.
21 Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of (U)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub begot (V)Jair,[m] who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 (W)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. 24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Hezron’s wife Abijah bore him (X)Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
The Family of Jerahmeel
25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram, the firstborn, and Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.
29 And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim; Seled died without children. 31 The son of Appaim was Ishi, the son of Ishi was Sheshan, and (Y)Sheshan’s son was Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan; Jether died without children. 33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai. 36 Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot (Z)Zabad; 37 Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot (AA)Obed; 38 Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah; 39 Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah; 40 Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum; 41 Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.
The Family of Caleb
42 The descendants of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema begot Raham the father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begot Shammai. 45 And the son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.
46 Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez. 47 And the sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was (AB)Achsah.[n]
50 These were the descendants of Caleb: The sons of (AC)Hur, the firstborn of [o]Ephrathah, were Shobal the father of (AD)Kirjath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.
52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim had descendants: [p]Haroeh, and half of the [q]families of Manuhoth. 53 The families of Kirjath Jearim were the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.
54 The sons of Salma were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, [r]Atroth Beth Joab, half of the Manahethites, and the Zorites.
55 And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These were the (AE)Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of (AF)Rechab.

2 These are the sons of (A)Israel: (B)Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, (C)Issachar, Zebulun, 2 (D)Dan, (E)Joseph, (F)Benjamin, (G)Naphtali, (H)Gad, and Asher. 3 (I)The sons of Judah: (J)Er, Onan and Shelah; these three Bath-shua the Canaanite bore to him. Now Er, Judah's firstborn, was evil in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death. 4 His daughter-in-law (K)Tamar also bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
5 The (L)sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul. 6 The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five in all. 7 The son[a] of Carmi: Achan, the troubler of Israel, who (M)broke faith in the matter of the devoted thing; 8 and Ethan's son was Azariah.

The sons[h] of Hur the firstborn of (AT)Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim, 51 (AU)Salma, the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52 Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had other sons: (AV)Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. 53 And the clans of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from these came the (AW)Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. 54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The clans also of the scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites and the Sucathites. These are the (AX)Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of (AY)the house of Rechab.
