24 Ito ang mga pinuno ng kanilang mga angkan: sina Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias at Jahdiel. Sila'y magigiting na mandirigma at mga tanyag na pinuno ng kani-kanilang angkan.

25 Ngunit ang mga liping ito ay hindi nanatiling tapat sa Diyos ng kanilang mga ninuno. Sumamba sila sa mga diyus-diyosan ng mga bansang pinalayas ng Diyos. 26 Kaya't(A) inudyukan ng Diyos ng Israel si haring Pul ng Asiria, na tinatawag ding Tiglat-Pileser, na salakayin ang Israel. Binihag nito ang mga Rubenita, Gadita at ang kalahating lipi ni Manases. Dinala sila sa Hala, Habor, Hara at sa tabi ng Ilog Gozan.

24 These were the heads of their families: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah and Jahdiel. They were brave warriors, famous men, and heads of their families. 25 But they were unfaithful(A) to the God of their ancestors and prostituted(B) themselves to the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them. 26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit(C) of Pul(D) king of Assyria (that is, Tiglath-Pileser(E) king of Assyria), who took the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh into exile. He took them to Halah,(F) Habor, Hara and the river of Gozan, where they are to this day.
