Tungkol sa Pagkakabaha-bahagi sa Iglesya
3 Subalit ako, mga kapatid, ay hindi makapagsalita sa inyo na tulad sa mga taong espirituwal, kundi tulad sa mga makalaman, tulad sa mga sanggol kay Cristo.
2 Pinainom(A) ko kayo ng gatas at hindi ng matigas na pagkain, sapagkat hindi pa ninyo kaya ito. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa ninyo kaya,
3 sapagkat kayo ay makalaman pa. Sapagkat habang sa inyo'y may mga paninibugho at mga pagtatalo, hindi ba kayo'y makalaman, at kayo'y lumalakad ayon sa pamantayan ng mga tao?
4 Sapagkat(B) kapag sinasabi ng isa, “Ako ay kay Pablo,” at ang iba, “Ako ay kay Apolos,” hindi ba kayo'y mga tao?
5 Ano nga ba si Apolos? At ano si Pablo? Mga lingkod na sa pamamagitan nila ay sumampalataya kayo, ayon sa itinakda ng Panginoon sa bawat isa.
6 Ako(C) ang nagtanim, si Apolos ang nagdilig, ngunit ang Diyos ang nagpalago.
7 Kaya't walang anuman ang nagtatanim, o ang nagdidilig, kundi ang Diyos na nagpapalago.
8 Ngayon, ang nagtatanim at ang nagdidilig ay iisa, at ang bawat isa ay tatanggap ng kanyang upa ayon sa kanyang paggawa.
9 Sapagkat kami ay mga kamanggagawa ng Diyos, kayo ang bukid ng Diyos, ang gusali ng Diyos.
10 Ayon sa biyaya ng Diyos na ibinigay sa akin, na tulad sa isang matalinong tagapagtayo, inilagay ko ang pinagsasaligan, at iba ang nagtatayo sa ibabaw nito. Dapat ingatan ng bawat tao ang pagtatayo niya sa ibabaw nito.
11 Sapagkat sinuman ay hindi makapaglalagay ng ibang saligan, maliban sa nakalagay na, na ito'y si Cristo Jesus.
12 Subalit kung ang sinuman ay magtatayo sa ibabaw ng saligang ito ng ginto, pilak, mahahalagang bato, kahoy, dayami, pinaggapasan,
13 ang gawa ng bawat isa ay mahahayag, sapagkat ang Araw ang magbubunyag nito. Sapagkat ito ay mahahayag sa pamamagitan ng apoy at ang apoy ang susubok kung anong uri ng gawain ang ginawa ng bawat isa.
14 Kung ang gawa ng sinumang tao na kanyang itinayo sa ibabaw ay manatili, siya ay tatanggap ng gantimpala.
15 Kung ang gawa ng sinumang tao ay matupok, siya ay malulugi, bagaman siya ay maliligtas, ngunit tanging sa pamamagitan ng apoy.
16 Hindi(D) ba ninyo nalalaman na kayo ay templo ng Diyos, at ang Espiritu ng Diyos ay naninirahan sa inyo?
17 Kung ang sinuman ay magtangkang gumiba sa templo ng Diyos, ang taong ito'y gigibain ng Diyos, sapagkat ang templo ng Diyos ay banal, at ang templong ito ay kayo.
18 Huwag dayain ng sinuman ang kanyang sarili. Kung ang sinuman sa inyo ay nag-aakalang siya ay marunong sa kapanahunang ito, ay magpakahangal siya, upang siya ay maging marunong.
19 Ang(E) karunungan ng sanlibutang ito ay kahangalan sa Diyos. Sapagkat nasusulat, “Hinuhuli niya ang marurunong sa kanilang katusuhan.”
20 At(F) muli, “Nalalaman ng Panginoon na ang pangangatuwiran ng marurunong ay walang kabuluhan.”
21 Kaya't huwag magmalaki ang sinuman sa mga tao, sapagkat ang lahat ng mga bagay ay sa inyo.
22 Kahit si Pablo, o si Apolos, o si Cefas, o ang sanlibutan, o ang buhay, o ang kamatayan, o ang mga bagay na kasalukuyan, o ang mga bagay na darating, lahat ay sa inyo,
23 at kayo'y kay Cristo, at si Cristo ay sa Diyos.

The Church and Its Leaders
3 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit(A) but as people who are still worldly(B)—mere infants(C) in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food,(D) for you were not yet ready for it.(E) Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling(F) among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,”(G) are you not mere human beings?
5 What, after all, is Apollos?(H) And what is Paul? Only servants,(I) through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed,(J) Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.(K) 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service;(L) you are God’s field,(M) God’s building.(N)
10 By the grace God has given me,(O) I laid a foundation(P) as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.(Q) 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is,(R) because the Day(S) will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.(T) 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.(U) 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.(V)
16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple(W) and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?(X) 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise(Y) by the standards of this age,(Z) you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness(AA) in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a];(AB) 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”[b](AC) 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders!(AD) All things are yours,(AE) 22 whether Paul or Apollos(AF) or Cephas[c](AG) or the world or life or death or the present or the future(AH)—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ,(AI) and Christ is of God.

Pablo y Apolos, siervos de Cristo
3 Amados hermanos, cuando estuve con ustedes, no pude hablarles como lo haría con personas espirituales.[a] Tuve que hablarles como si pertenecieran a este mundo o como si fueran niños en Cristo. 2 Tuve que alimentarlos con leche, no con alimento sólido, porque no estaban preparados para algo más sustancioso. Y aún no están preparados, 3 porque todavía están bajo el control de su naturaleza pecaminosa. Tienen celos unos de otros y se pelean entre sí. ¿Acaso eso no demuestra que los controla su naturaleza pecaminosa? ¿No viven como la gente del mundo? 4 Cuando uno de ustedes dice: «Yo soy seguidor de Pablo» y otro dice: «Yo sigo a Apolos», ¿no actúan igual que la gente del mundo?
5 Después de todo, ¿quién es Apolos?, ¿quién es Pablo? Nosotros solo somos siervos de Dios mediante los cuales ustedes creyeron la Buena Noticia. Cada uno de nosotros hizo el trabajo que el Señor nos encargó. 6 Yo planté la semilla en sus corazones, y Apolos la regó, pero fue Dios quien la hizo crecer. 7 No importa quién planta o quién riega; lo importante es que Dios hace crecer la semilla. 8 El que planta y el que riega trabajan en conjunto con el mismo propósito. Y cada uno será recompensado por su propio arduo trabajo. 9 Pues ambos somos trabajadores de Dios; y ustedes son el campo de cultivo de Dios, son el edificio de Dios.
10 Por la gracia que Dios me dio, yo eché los cimientos como un experto en construcción. Ahora otros edifican encima; pero cualquiera que edifique sobre este fundamento tiene que tener mucho cuidado. 11 Pues nadie puede poner un fundamento distinto del que ya tenemos, que es Jesucristo.
12 El que edifique sobre este fundamento podrá usar una variedad de materiales: oro, plata, joyas, madera, heno o paja; 13 pero el día del juicio, el fuego revelará la clase de obra que cada constructor ha hecho. El fuego mostrará si la obra de alguien tiene algún valor. 14 Si la obra permanece, ese constructor recibirá una recompensa, 15 pero si la obra se consume, el constructor sufrirá una gran pérdida. El constructor se salvará, pero como quien apenas se escapa atravesando un muro de llamas.
16 ¿No se dan cuenta de que todos ustedes juntos son el templo de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios vive en[b] ustedes? 17 Dios destruirá a cualquiera que destruya este templo. Pues el templo de Dios es santo, y ustedes son este templo.
18 Dejen de engañarse a sí mismos. Si piensan que son sabios de acuerdo con los criterios de este mundo, necesitan volverse necios para ser verdaderamente sabios. 19 Pues la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad para Dios. Como dicen las Escrituras:
«Él atrapa a los sabios
en la trampa de su propia astucia»[c].
20 Y también:
«El Señor conoce los pensamientos de los sabios;
sabe que no valen nada»[d].
21 Así que no se jacten de seguir a un líder humano en particular. Pues a ustedes les pertenece todo: 22 ya sea Pablo o Apolos o Pedro,[e] o el mundo, o la vida y la muerte, o el presente y el futuro. Todo les pertenece a ustedes, 23 y ustedes pertenecen a Cristo, y Cristo pertenece a Dios.
