Ang Pag-ibig
13 Makapagsalita man ako sa mga wika ng mga tao at ng mga anghel, kung wala naman akong pag-ibig, para lamang akong kampanang umaalingawngaw o pompiyang na maingay. 2 Kung(A) ako man ay may kakayahang magsalita ng mensahe mula sa Diyos at umunawa sa lahat ng hiwaga, kung nasa akin man ang lahat ng kaalaman at lahat ng pananampalataya, anupa't nakakapagpalipat ako ng mga bundok, ngunit wala naman akong pag-ibig, wala akong kabuluhan. 3 At kung ipamigay ko man ang lahat ng aking mga ari-arian at ialay ang aking katawan upang sunugin,[a] ngunit wala naman akong pag-ibig, wala rin akong mapapala!
4 Ang pag-ibig ay matiyaga at magandang-loob, hindi maiinggitin, hindi mayabang ni mapagmataas man, 5 hindi magaspang ang pag-uugali, hindi makasarili, hindi magagalitin, o mapagtanim ng sama ng loob sa kapwa. 6 Hindi ito natutuwa sa masama, sa halip ay nagagalak sa katotohanan. 7 Ang pag-ibig ay matiisin, mapagtiwala, puno ng pag-asa, at nagtitiyaga hanggang wakas.
8 Matatapos ang kakayahang magsalita ng mensahe mula sa Diyos, titigil rin ang kakayahang magsalita sa iba't ibang mga wika, at lilipas ang kaalaman, ngunit ang pag-ibig ay walang katapusan. 9 Hindi pa ganap ang ating kaalaman at hindi rin ganap ang kakayahan nating magsalita ng mensahe mula sa Diyos, 10 ngunit pagdating ng ganap, maglalaho na ang di-ganap.
11 Noong ako'y bata pa, ako'y nagsasalita, nag-iisip at nangangatuwirang tulad ng bata. Ngayong ako'y mayroon nang sapat na gulang, iniwanan ko na ang mga asal ng bata. 12 Sa kasalukuyan ang ating nakikita ay tila malabong larawan sa salamin, subalit darating ang araw na ang lahat ay makikita natin nang harapan. Bahagya lamang ang nalalaman ko ngayon, ngunit darating ang araw na malulubos ang kaalamang ito, tulad ng lubos na pagkakilala niya sa akin.
13 Samantala, nananatili ang tatlong ito: ang pananampalataya, pag-asa, at pag-ibig, ngunit ang pinakadakila sa mga ito ay ang pag-ibig.

13 Kung ako'y magsalita ng mga wika ng mga tao at ng mga anghel, datapuwa't wala akong pagibig, ay ako'y naging tanso na tumutunog, o batingaw na umaalingawngaw.
2 At kung magkaroon ako ng kaloob na panghuhula, at maalaman ko ang lahat ng mga hiwaga at ang lahat ng mga kaalaman; at kung magkaroon ako ng buong pananampalataya, na ano pa't mapalipat ko ang mga bundok, datapuwa't wala akong pagibig, ay wala akong kabuluhan.
3 At kung ipagkaloob ko ang lahat ng aking mga tinatangkilik upang ipakain sa mga dukha, at kung ibigay ko ang aking katawan upang sunugin, datapuwa't wala akong pagibig, ay walang pakikinabangin sa akin.
4 Ang pagibig ay mapagpahinuhod, at magandang-loob; ang pagibig ay hindi nananaghili; ang pagibig ay hindi nagmamapuri, hindi mapagpalalo.
5 Hindi naguugaling mahalay, hindi hinahanap ang kaniyang sarili, hindi nayayamot, hindi inaalumana ang masama;
6 Hindi nagagalak sa kalikuan, kundi nakikigalak sa katotohanan;
7 Lahat ay binabata, lahat ay pinaniniwalaan, lahat ay inaasahan, lahat ay tinitiis.
8 Ang pagibig ay hindi nagkukulang kailan man: kahit maging mga hula, ay mangatatapos; maging mga wika, ay titigil: maging kaalaman, ay mawawala.
9 Sapagka't nangakakakilala tayo ng bahagya, at nanganghuhula tayo ng bahagya;
10 Datapuwa't kung dumating ang sakdal, ang bahagya ay matatapos.
11 Nang ako'y bata pa, ay nagsasalita akong gaya ng bata, nagdaramdam akong gaya ng bata, nagiisip akong gaya ng bata: ngayong maganap ang aking pagkatao, ay iniwan ko na ang mga bagay ng pagkabata.
12 Sapagka't ngayo'y malabo tayong nakakikita sa isang salamin; nguni't pagkatapos ay makikita natin sa mukhaan: ngayo'y nakikilala ko ng bahagya, nguni't pagkatapos ay makikilala ko ng gaya naman ng pagkakilala sa akin.
13 Datapuwa't ngayo'y nanatili ang tatlong ito: ang pananampalataya, ang pagasa, at ang pagibig; nguni't ang pinakadakila sa mga ito ay ang pagibig.

13 If I speak in the tongues[a](A) of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy(B) and can fathom all mysteries(C) and all knowledge,(D) and if I have a faith(E) that can move mountains,(F) but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor(G) and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b](H) but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient,(I) love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.(J) 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,(K) it is not easily angered,(L) it keeps no record of wrongs.(M) 6 Love does not delight in evil(N) but rejoices with the truth.(O) 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.(P)
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,(Q) they will cease; where there are tongues,(R) they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part(S) and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes,(T) what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood(U) behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror;(V) then we shall see face to face.(W) Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.(X)
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.(Y) But the greatest of these is love.(Z)

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
