11 ^(A)Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

¹⁷ Brothers, ^(A)join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk ^(B)according to the example you have in us.

¹⁶ I urge you, then, ^(A)be imitators of me.

¹² so that you may not be sluggish, but ^(A)imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

⁶ And ^(A)you became imitators of us ^(B)and of the Lord, for ^(C)you received the word in much affliction, ^(D)with the ^(E)joy of the Holy Spirit,

Walk in Love

5 ^(A)Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. ² And ^(B)walk in love, ^(C)as Christ loved us and ^(D)gave himself up for us, a ^(E)fragrant ^(F)offering and sacrifice to God.

⁴ Let each of you ^(A)look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. ^5 (B)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,^[a]

⁹ It was ^(A)not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves ^(B)an example to imitate.

^2 (A)Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. ³ For ^(B)Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, ^(C)“The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.”

³³ just as ^(A)I try to please everyone in everything I do, ^(B)not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.
