¹¹ And ^(A)such were some of you. But ^(B)you were washed, ^(C)you were sanctified, ^(D)you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

^5 (A)Put to death therefore ^(B)what is earthly in you:^{[a] (C)}sexual immorality, impurity, ^(D)passion, evil desire, and covetousness, ^(E)which is idolatry. ^6 (F)On account of these the wrath of God is coming.^{[b] 7 (G)}In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

³⁰ And because of him^[a] you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us ^(A)wisdom from God, ^(B)righteousness and ^(C)sanctification and ^(D)redemption,

¹⁷ But ^(A)thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the ^(B)standard of teaching to which you were committed, ¹⁸ and, ^(C)having been set free from sin, ^(D)have become slaves of righteousness. ^19 (E)I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For ^(F)just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members ^(G)as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

¹⁶ And now why do you wait? ^(A)Rise and be baptized and ^(B)wash away your sins, ^(C)calling on his name.’

² To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those ^(A)sanctified in Christ Jesus, ^(B)called to be saints together with all those who in every place ^(C)call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

³⁰ And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also ^(A)justified, and those whom he justified he also ^(B)glorified.

²⁶ that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ^(A)the washing of water ^(B)with the word,

² according to ^(A)the foreknowledge of God the Father, ^(B)in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and ^(C)for sprinkling with his blood:

May ^(D)grace and ^(E)peace be multiplied to you.
