⁷ Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.^(A)

¹⁹ but with the precious blood^(A) of Christ, a lamb^(B) without blemish or defect.^{(C) 20} He was chosen before the creation of the world,^(D) but was revealed in these last times^(E) for your sake.

²² You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off^(A) your old self,^(B) which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;^(C)

¹⁷ Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body,^(A) for we all share the one loaf.

³² This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading:

³⁴ The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” ³⁵ Then Philip began^(B) with that very passage of Scripture^(C) and told him the good news^(D) about Jesus.

⁶ For seven days eat bread made without yeast and on the seventh day hold a festival^(A) to the Lord. ⁷ Eat unleavened bread during those seven days; nothing with yeast in it is to be seen among you, nor shall any yeast be seen anywhere within your borders.

⁵ The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect,^(A) and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. ⁶ Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,^(B) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.^(C)

¹² In a loud voice they were saying:

⁵ Put to death,^(A) therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:^(B) sexual immorality,^(C) impurity, lust, evil desires and greed,^(D) which is idolatry.^{(E) 6} Because of these, the wrath of God^(F) is coming.^{[a] 7} You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.^{(G) 8} But now you must also rid yourselves^(H) of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,^(I) and filthy language from your lips.^{(J) 9} Do not lie to each other,^(K) since you have taken off your old self^(L) with its practices
