Sexual Immorality Defiles the Church

5 It is actually reported that there is ^(A)sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, ^(B)for a man has his father's wife.

^8 (A)But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, ^(B)their portion will be in ^(C)the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is ^(D)the second death.”

²¹ I gave her time to repent, but ^(A)she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

^5 (A)Put to death therefore ^(B)what is earthly in you:^{[a] (C)}sexual immorality, impurity, ^(D)passion, evil desire, and covetousness, ^(E)which is idolatry.

³ But ^(A)sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness ^(B)must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

^8 (A)You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.

¹⁹ Now ^(A)the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

¹¹ But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone ^(A)who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

⁷ For ^(A)God has not called us for ^(B)impurity, but in holiness.

²¹ I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those ^(A)who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, ^(B)sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.
