⁷ No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery^(A) that has been hidden^(B) and that God destined for our glory before time began.

²⁶ the mystery^(A) that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. ²⁷ To them God has chosen to make known^(B) among the Gentiles the glorious riches^(C) of this mystery, which is Christ in you,^(D) the hope of glory.

Confirming One’s Calling and Election

³ His divine power^(A) has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him^(B) who called us^(C) by his own glory and goodness.

The Father Revealed in the Son^(A)

²⁵ At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father,^(B) Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.^(C)

²⁵ Now to him who is able^(A) to establish you in accordance with my gospel,^(B) the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery^(C) hidden for long ages past, ²⁶ but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings^(D) by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from^[a] faith^(E)—

³⁵ So was fulfilled^(A) what was spoken through the prophet:

⁴ In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight^(A) into the mystery of Christ, ⁵ which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.^{(B) 6} This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs^(C) together with Israel, members together of one body,^(D) and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.^(E)

⁷ I became a servant of this gospel^(F) by the gift of God’s grace given me^(G) through the working of his power.^{(H) 8} Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people,^(I) this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles^(J) the boundless riches of Christ,^{(K) 9} and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery,^(L) which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

¹⁰ And the God of all grace, who called you^(A) to his eternal glory^(B) in Christ, after you have suffered a little while,^(C) will himself restore you and make you strong,^(D) firm and steadfast.
