^25 (A)Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

⁷ However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, ^(A)through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and ^(B)their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

⁴ For ^(A)everything created by God is good, and ^(B)nothing is to be rejected if it is ^(C)received with thanksgiving,

^15 (A)To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and ^(B)unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both ^(C)their minds and their consciences are defiled.

²⁷ If one of the unbelievers invites you to dinner and you are disposed to go, ^(A)eat whatever is set before you without raising any question on the ground of conscience. ²⁸ But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for the sake of conscience— ²⁹ I do not mean ^(B)your conscience, but his. For ^(C)why should my liberty be determined by someone else's conscience?

¹⁴ I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus ^(A)that nothing is unclean in itself, ^(B)but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean.

⁵ Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also ^(A)for the sake of conscience.

¹⁵ And the voice came to him again a second time, ^(A)“What God has made clean, do not call common.”
