2 This was Israel’s family: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
Judah’s line
3 Judah’s family: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him with Bath-shua the Canaanite. Although Er was Judah’s oldest, the Lord considered him wicked and put him to death.
