過ちからの解放
2 まずはテモテ！お前にお願いしたい。全ての人のために祈るように。神が彼らを祝福し、必要が満たされるようにと・・・そして感謝を忘れずに。 2 特に権威と責任を持つ統治者やその他のリーダーたちのために祈るべきだ。そうすることで、私たちが問題の少ない平穏な生活を送ることができ、神をさらに敬うことが出来る！ 3 こういったことは、救い主である神が喜ぶ良いことなのだ。 4 神は全ての人が救われ、全ての人が真理を理解することを願っている。 5 私たちの神は唯一の神である。そして、人間と神との架け橋となる仲介役となる方がいる。その仲介役とは人間として現れたイエス・キリストのことだ。 6 何よりも価値ある自らの命を、全人類のために差し出すことで、人間と神との架け橋となってくれた！これぞ正しきタイミングで神が与えてくれた私たちへのメッセージだ！ 7 私はこの最高な知らせを伝える使徒として選ばれた。このことは真実であり、ウソではない。ユダヤ人ではない外国人のために真理を信じるようにと伝え、教えるために私は任命されたのだ！
男と女の持つべき姿勢
8 私の望みは全ての男たちが祈ることだ。どこにいようが神を喜ばせるために生きる。怒りを持ち、お互いに敵視し合うのではなく、手を挙げて神に祈る男でなければならない。
9 同じく女性は正しい方法で美を磨くように。派手なヘアスタイルや金や宝石、パールや高価な着物によって人の注意を引こうとはせず、礼儀ある適切な格好を心がけるのだ ——【この当時、女性たちの格好によって、信じる者たちがひどく他からバッシングされることがあった】
10 神を敬い身を捧げるその様な良い行いをする女性として、魅力を発揮するべきである。 11 落ち着いて人の話を聞き、謙虚に従う態度をもつことが大切だ。 12 女性は男性を正したり、命令することなく、静かに聞き入るのだ。——【この当時、その地域の女性が大きな態度をとることがよくあった】
13 神は最初に男であるアダムを造り、その後に女であるエバを造ったからだ。 14 アダムは悪魔にだまされることはなかったが、エバはだまされて神の命令に背いてしまった。 15 だが女性は神を信じ、愛に溢れ、謙虚な生活を送り子孫を繋げていく。すなわち子を出産する務めを全うすることによって救われるのである。——【「子供を産む」とは、必ずしも子供を産むだけの意味ではなく、「良いものを生み出す」という意味も含まれる】

Instructions on Worship
2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers,(A) intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority,(B) that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness(C) and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases(D) God our Savior,(E) 4 who wants(F) all people(G) to be saved(H) and to come to a knowledge of the truth.(I) 5 For there is one God(J) and one mediator(K) between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,(L) 6 who gave himself as a ransom(M) for all people. This has now been witnessed to(N) at the proper time.(O) 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying(P)—and a true and faithful teacher(Q) of the Gentiles.(R)
8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands(S) without anger or disputing. 9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,(T) 10 but with good deeds,(U) appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
11 A woman[a] should learn in quietness and full submission.(V) 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[b] she must be quiet.(W) 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.(X) 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.(Y) 15 But women[c] will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love(Z) and holiness with propriety.

2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

2 Una sa lahat, hinihimok ko kayong ipanalangin ang lahat ng tao. Idulog ninyo sa Diyos ang inyong mga kahilingan, dalangin, pagsamo at pasasalamat para sa kanila. 2 Ipanalangin ninyo ang mga hari at ang lahat ng may mataas na tungkulin, upang tayo ay mamuhay nang tahimik, payapa, marangal at may kabanalan. 3 Ito'y mabuti at kinalulugdan ng Diyos na ating Tagapagligtas. 4 Ibig niyang ang lahat ay maligtas at makaalam sa katotohanan. 5 Iisa ang Diyos at iisa ang Tagapamagitan sa Diyos at sa mga tao, ang taong si Cristo Jesus. 6 Ibinigay niya ang kanyang sarili bilang pantubos para sa lahat; isang patotoong pinatunayan sa takdang panahon. 7 Ito ang dahilan kung bakit ako'y hinirang na maging tagapangaral at apostol, tagapagturo ng pananampalataya at katotohanan sa mga Hentil. Totoo ang sinasabi kong ito, at hindi ako nagsisinungaling!
8 Ibig kong ang mga lalaki sa lahat ng dako ay manalangin nang may malinis na puso,[a] walang sama ng loob at galit sa kapwa. 9 Nais ko rin na ang mga babae'y magdamit nang maayos, marangal at nararapat. Hindi kinakailangang sila'y maging marangya sa kanilang pananamit at ayos ng buhok, o kaya nama'y nasusuotan ng mamahaling alahas na gawa sa ginto o perlas. 10 Sa halip, ang maging gayak nila ay mabubuting gawa, gaya ng nararapat sa mga babaing itinuturing na maka-Diyos. 11 Ang babae'y dapat matahimik na tumanggap ng aral at lubos na magpasakop. 12 Hindi ko pinahihintulutan ang babae na magturo o mamuno sa lalaki. Dapat siyang manatiling tahimik. 13 Sapagkat si Adan ang unang nilalang bago si Eva. 14 At hindi si Adan ang nadaya. Ang babae ang nadaya at nagkasala. 15 Ngunit maliligtas ang babae sa pamamagitan ng pagsisilang ng sanggol, kung magpapatuloy siya sa pananampalataya, pag-ibig, kabanalan at maayos na pamumuhay.
