1 Timothy 6:4-6

⁴is a conceited person who understands nothing and who has an unhealthy enthusiasm to engage in arguments and to dispute the meaning of words. From these come envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions, ⁵and unending disputes among people whose minds are corrupted and who are deprived of truth, supposing that godliness is a means of gain.

⁶Godliness produces great gain, but only to those who are content.
