⁷ For the ^[a](A)overseer must be beyond reproach as ^(B)God’s steward, not ^(C)self-willed, not quick-tempered, not ^(D)addicted to wine, not pugnacious, ^(E)not fond of dishonest gain,

² shepherd ^(A)the flock of God among you, overseeing ^(B)not under compulsion, but willingly, according to God; and ^(C)not for dishonest gain, but with eagerness;
