12 all of their brave men traveled during the night and took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth-shan. They went to Jabesh where they cremated them. 13 They took their bones and they buried them under a tree in Jabesh, and they fasted for seven days.[a]

12 all their valiant men(A) marched through the night to Beth Shan. They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth Shan and went to Jabesh, where they burned(B) them. 13 Then they took their bones(C) and buried them under a tamarisk(D) tree at Jabesh, and they fasted(E) seven days.(F)
