³³ “^(A)When Your people Israel are ^[a]defeated before an enemy, because they have sinned against You, ^(B)if they turn to You again and confess Your name and pray and make supplication to You in this house,

¹² And when ^(A)he was in distress, he entreated Yahweh his God and ^(B)humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. ¹³ Then he prayed to Him, and ^(C)He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and returned him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh ^(D)knew that Yahweh was God.

^3 (A)Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that ^(B)I may ^[a]relent of the evil which I am devising to ^[b]bring against them because of the evil of their deeds.’

^3 (A)Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I devise ^[a]to bring on them, in order that every man will ^(B)turn from his evil way; then I will ^(C)forgive their iniquity and their sin.”
