¹²`Only, in thy days I do it not, for the sake of David thy father; out of the hand of thy son I rend it;

¹³only all the kingdom I do not rend away; one tribe I give to thy son, for the sake of David My servant, and for the sake of Jerusalem, that I have chosen.'

¹²Nevertheless, for the sake of David^(A) your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son. ¹³Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe^(B) for the sake^(C) of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”^(D)
