Sexual Immorality Must Be Judged
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral persons— 10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since you would then need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister[a] who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those who are inside that you are to judge? 13 God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”
Lawsuits among Believers
6 When any of you has a grievance against another, do you dare to take it to court before the unrighteous, instead of taking it before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels—to say nothing of ordinary matters? 4 If you have ordinary cases, then, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church? 5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to decide between one believer[b] and another, 6 but a believer[c] goes to court against a believer[d]—and before unbelievers at that?
7 In fact, to have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? 8 But you yourselves wrong and defraud—and believers[e] at that.
9 Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, 10 thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Non giudicate voi quelli di dentro? 13 Quelli di fuori li giudicherà Dio. Togliete il malvagio di mezzo a voi stessi[b].

6 (B)Quando qualcuno di voi ha una lite con un altro, ha il coraggio di chiamarlo in giudizio davanti agli ingiusti[c] anziché davanti ai santi? 2 Non sapete che i santi giudicheranno il mondo? Se dunque il mondo è giudicato da voi, siete voi indegni di giudicare delle cose minime? 3 Non sapete che giudicheremo gli angeli? Quanto più possiamo giudicare le cose di questa vita! 4 Quando dunque avete da giudicare su cose di questa vita, costituite come giudici persone che nella chiesa non sono tenute in alcuna considerazione. 5 Dico questo per farvi vergogna. È possibile che non vi sia tra di voi neppure una persona saggia, capace di pronunciare un giudizio tra un fratello e l’altro? 6 Ma il fratello processa il fratello, e lo fa dinanzi agli infedeli. 7 Certo è già in ogni modo un vostro difetto che abbiate fra voi dei processi. Perché non patite piuttosto qualche torto? Perché non patite piuttosto qualche danno? 8 Invece siete voi che fate torto e danno; e per giunta a dei fratelli. 9 Non sapete che gli ingiusti non erediteranno il regno di Dio?
Esortazione a fuggire la dissolutezza
(C)Non v’illudete: né fornicatori, né idolatri, né adùlteri, né effeminati, né sodomiti, 10 né ladri, né avari, né ubriachi, né oltraggiatori, né rapinatori erediteranno il regno di Dio. 11 E tali eravate alcuni di voi; ma siete stati lavati, siete stati santificati, siete stati giustificati nel nome del Signore Gesù Cristo[d] e mediante lo Spirito del nostro Dio.

9 Levelemben már megírtam nektek, hogy nem szabad kapcsolatot tartani paráznákkal.
10 De nem általában e világ paráznáival vagy nyerészkedőivel, harácsolóival vagy bálványimádóival, hiszen akkor ki kellene mennetek a világból.
11 Most tehát azt írom nektek, hogy ne éljetek közösségben azzal, akit bár testvérnek neveznek, de parázna vagy nyerészkedő, bálványimádó vagy rágalmazó, részeges vagy harácsoló. Az ilyennel még együtt se egyetek.
12 Mert mit tartozik rám, hogy a kívül levők felett ítélkezzem? Nem a belül levők felett ítélkeztek-e ti is?
13 A kívül levőket pedig Isten fogja megítélni. Távolítsátok el azért a gonoszt magatok közül!
Hívők ne pereskedjenek egymással
6 Hogyan merészel közületek valaki, akinek a másikkal peres ügye van, a hitetlenek, s nem a szentek előtt törvénykezni?
2 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy a szentek a világ felett fognak ítélkezni? És ha ti ítélkeztek a világ felett, arra talán méltatlanok vagytok, hogy jelentéktelen ügyekben ítélkezzetek?
3 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy angyalok fölött is ítélkezünk majd? Akkor mennyivel inkább ítélkezhetünk a mindennapi élet dolgaiban!
4 Ha tehát hétköznapi ügyekben pereskedtek, akkor azokat ültetitek a bírói székbe, akik semmit sem számítanak a gyülekezet előtt?
5 Megszégyenítésül mondom nektek! Ennyire nincs közöttetek egyetlen bölcs sem, aki igazságot tudna tenni testvérei között?
6 Sőt testvér a testvérrel pereskedik, méghozzá hitetlenek előtt.
7 Egyáltalán már az is nagy gyarlóság bennetek, hogy pereskedtek egymással. Miért nem szenveditek el inkább a sérelmet? Miért nem tűritek el inkább a kárt?
8 Sőt ti okoztok sérelmet és kárt, mégpedig testvéreknek!
A keresztyén szabadság nem szabadosság
9 Vagy nem tudjátok, hogy igazságtalanok nem örökölhetik Isten országát? Ne tévelyegjetek: sem paráznák, sem bálványimádók, sem házasságtörők, sem bujálkodók, sem fajtalanok,
10 sem tolvajok, sem nyerészkedők, sem részegesek, sem rágalmazók, sem harácsolók nem fogják örökölni Isten országát.
11 Pedig ilyenek voltak közületek némelyek: de megmosattatok, megszentelődtetek, és meg is igazultatok az Úr Jézus Krisztus nevében és a mi Istenünk Lelke által.

9 Dans ma dernière lettre[a], je vous ai écrit de ne pas avoir de relations avec des personnes vivant dans l’immoralité sexuelle. 10 Mais je ne voulais évidemment pas dire par là qu’il faut éviter toute relation avec ceux qui, dans ce monde, mènent une vie sexuelle immorale, ou avec les avares, les voleurs ou les adorateurs d’idoles ; car alors il vous faudrait sortir du monde.
11 Non, je voulais simplement vous dire de ne pas entretenir de relations avec une personne qui, tout en se disant votre « frère » ou votre « sœur », vivrait dans l’immoralité sexuelle, ou serait avare, idolâtre, calomniateur, adonné à la boisson ou voleur. Avec des gens de cette sorte, il ne vous faut même pas prendre de repas.
12 Est-ce à moi de juger ceux qui vivent en dehors de la famille de Dieu ? Certes non ! Mais c’est bien à vous de juger ceux qui font partie de votre communauté. 13 Ceux du dehors, Dieu les jugera. Mais vous, chassez le méchant du milieu de vous[b].

6 Lorsque l’un de vous a un différend avec un frère ou une sœur, comment ose-t-il le citer en justice devant des juges incroyants au lieu de recourir à l’arbitrage des membres du peuple saint ?
2 Ignorez-vous que ceux-ci auront un jour à juger le monde ? Si donc vous êtes destinés à être les juges du monde, seriez-vous incapables de vous prononcer sur des questions bien moins importantes ? 3 Ne savez-vous pas que nous jugerons même les anges ? Et nous serions incompétents pour les affaires de la vie présente !
4 Or, si vous avez des litiges au sujet des affaires de la vie courante, vous prenez comme juges des gens qui ne comptent pour rien dans l’Eglise ! 5 Je le dis à votre honte ! N’y a-t-il vraiment pas un seul homme sage parmi vous qui puisse servir d’arbitre entre ses frères ? 6 Faut-il qu’on se traîne en justice entre frères et qu’on aille plaider l’un contre l’autre devant des incroyants ? 7 De toute façon, vos différends constituent déjà une défaite. Pourquoi ne souffrez-vous pas plutôt l’injustice ? Pourquoi ne consentez-vous pas plutôt à vous laisser dépouiller ?
8 Mais non, c’est au contraire vous qui commettez des injustices et dépouillez les autres, et ce sont vos frères et sœurs que vous traitez ainsi ! 9-10 Ne savez-vous pas que ceux qui pratiquent l’injustice n’auront aucune part au royaume de Dieu ? Ne vous y trompez pas : il n’y aura point de part dans l’héritage de ce royaume pour les débauchés, les idolâtres, les adultères, les pervers ou les homosexuels, ni pour les voleurs, les avares, pas plus que pour les ivrognes, les calomniateurs ou les malhonnêtes. 11 Voilà bien ce que vous étiez, certains d’entre vous. Mais vous avez été lavés, vous avez été purifiés du péché, vous en avez été déclarés justes au nom du Seigneur Jésus-Christ et par l’Esprit de notre Dieu.

54 He came to his hometown and began to teach the people[a] in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these deeds of power? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all this?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “Prophets are not without honor except in their own country and in their own house.” 58 And he did not do many deeds of power there, because of their unbelief.

N’est-il pas le fils de Marie, et le frère de Jacques, de Joseph, de Simon et de Jude ! 56 Ses sœurs ne vivent-elles pas toutes parmi nous ? D’où a-t-il reçu tout cela ?
57 Et voilà pourquoi ils trouvaient en lui un obstacle à la foi.
