¹⁴ Therefore, my ^(A)beloved, flee from ^(B)idolatry.

7 Therefore, having these promises, ^(A)beloved, ^(B)let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁹ All this time ^[a]you think we are defending ourselves to you. We speak in Christ ^(A)in the sight of God. ^(B)And all these things, ^(C)beloved, are for your building up.

^11 (A)Beloved, ^(B)I urge you as ^(C)sojourners and exiles to abstain from ^(D)fleshly lusts which wage ^(E)war against the soul,

3 This is now, ^(A)beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am ^(B)stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,

^7 (A)Beloved, I am ^(B)not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had ^(C)from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.

^3 (A)Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our ^(B)common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you exhorting that you ^(C)contend earnestly for ^(D)the faith which was once for all ^(E)handed down to ^(F)the ^[a]saints.
