1 Chronicles 18:6-8
New English Translation
6 David placed garrisons in the territory of the Arameans of Damascus;[a] the Arameans became David’s subjects and brought tribute. The Lord protected[b] David wherever he campaigned.[c] 7 David took the golden shields which Hadadezer’s servants had carried[d] and brought them to Jerusalem. 8 From Tibhath[e] and Kun,[f] Hadadezer’s cities, David took a great deal of bronze. (Solomon used it to make the big bronze basin called “The Sea,”[g] the pillars, and other bronze items.)

New International Version
6 He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought him tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.
7 David took the gold shields carried by the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem. 8 From Tebah[a] and Kun, towns that belonged to Hadadezer, David took a great quantity of bronze, which Solomon used to make the bronze Sea,(A) the pillars and various bronze articles.
