하나님의 의로운 통치
97 여호와께서 통치하신다.
땅아, 기뻐하라.
바다의 섬들아, 즐거워하라.
2 구름과 흑암이 그를 두르고
의와 공평이 그 보좌의 기초이다.
3 불이 그 앞에서 나와
그의 주변 대적들을 사른다.
4 그의 번개가 세계를 비추니
땅이 그것을 보고 떠는구나.
5 산들이 여호와 앞에서
양초같이 녹았으니
온 세상의 주가 되시는
여호와 앞이라네.
6 하늘이 그의 의를 선포하므로
모든 민족이 그의 영광을 보았다.
7 우상을 섬기며
무가치한 신들을 자랑하는 자들은
다 수치를 당하리라.
너희 모든 신들아,
여호와를 경배하라.
8 여호와여, 주의 심판 때문에
시온 사람들이 기뻐하고
유다 성들이 즐거워합니다.
9 여호와여, 주는 온 땅에서
가장 높으신 분이시며
그 어떤 신보다도
위대하신 분이십니다.
10 여호와를 사랑하는 자들아
악을 미워하라.
그는 자기 백성의 생명을 지키시고
악한 자의 손에서 그들을 구하시며
11 의로운 자에게 빛을 비추고
마음이 정직한 자에게
기쁨을 주신다.
12 의로운 자들아,
여호와께서 행하신 일로 기뻐하고
그의 거룩한 이름을 찬양하라.
의로우신 여호와를 찬양하라

2 여호와께서
그의 구원을 알리시고
그의 의를 온 세계에 나타내셨다.
3 그가 성실하심과 한결같은
사랑으로 이스라엘 백성에게
자기 약속을 지키셨으므로
온 세상이
우리 하나님의 구원을 보았다.
4 온 땅이여, 여호와께
기쁨으로 노래하라.
노래와 즐거운 소리로
그를 찬양하라.
5 여호와께 찬송하라.
수금으로 찬양하라.
6 나팔과 양각을 불며
우리의 왕이신 여호와 앞에
즐겁게 외쳐라.
7 바다와 그 안에 있는 모든 것들아,
세계와 그 안에 사는 모든 자들아,
다 소리 높여 외쳐라.
8 너희 강들아,
여호와 앞에서 손뼉을 쳐라.
너희 산들아,
기쁨으로 함께 노래하라.
9 그가 세상을 다스리고자 오신다.
그가 바르고 공정하게
온 세계를 다스릴 것이다.
거룩하신 여호와를 찬양하라
99 여호와께서 통치하시니
모든 민족이 떨고
그가 그룹 천사 사이에 앉으시니
땅이 진동하는구나.
2 여호와는 시온에서 위대하시고
온 세계에서 가장 높으신 분이시다.
3 위대하고 위엄 있는
그의 이름을 찬양하라.
여호와는 거룩하시다.
4 [a]능력 있는 왕이시여,
주는 옳은 것을 사랑하십니다.
주는 공평을 시금석으로 삼으시고
이스라엘에
의와 공정을 베푸셨습니다.
5 우리 하나님 여호와를 찬양하고
그의 발 앞에 경배하라.
그는 거룩하신 분이시다.
6 모세와 아론은
그의 제사장이었으며
사무엘은
그에게 기도한 사람이었다.
그들이 여호와께 부르짖자
그가 응답하셨다.

구름 기둥에서 말씀하셨고
그들은 그의 법과 명령에
순종하였다.
8 우리 하나님 여호와여,
주께서는 그들에게
응답하셨습니다.
그들이 잘못했을 때
주는 벌하셨지만
주께서는 그들을
용서하신 하나님이었습니다.

그의 거룩한 산에서 경배하라.

거룩하신 분이시다.

100 온 땅이여, 여호와께
기쁨으로 외쳐라.
2 즐거운 마음으로 여호와를 섬기고
노래하며 그 앞에 나아가라.
3 여호와가
하나님이라는 사실을 알아라.
그가 우리를 만드셨으니
우리는 그의 백성이요,
그가 기르시는 양이다.
4 감사하며 성전에 들어가고
찬송하며 그 뜰에 들어가라.
그에게 감사하고
그의 이름을 찬양하라.
5 여호와는 선하시고
그의 사랑은 영원하며
그의 성실하심은 대대에 이른다.

101 여호와여,
내가 주의 사랑과

주께 찬양하겠습니다.
2 내가 흠 없이 살기 위해
노력하겠습니다.
주께서 언제나 나에게
찾아오시겠습니까?
내가 가정에서
깨끗한 마음으로 살겠습니다.
3 더러운 것을 내 눈 앞에
두지 않겠습니다.
내가 하나님을 저버린
사람들의 소행을 미워하고
그들을 상대하지 않겠습니다.
4 내가 못된 마음을 버리고
악을 멀리하리라.
5 몰래 자기 이웃을 헐뜯는 자를
내가 용서하지 않을 것이며
거만하고 교만한 자를
그냥 두지 않으리라.
6 내가 이 땅에서
신실한 자를 살펴
나와 함께 살게 할 것이니
흠 없이 정직한 자들이
나를 섬길 것이다.
7 속이는 자는
내 집에 살지 못할 것이며
거짓말하는 자도
내 앞에 서지 못하리라.
8 내가 이 땅에서
매일 악인들을 제거할 것이니
악을 행하는 자들이
다 여호와의 성에서
추방될 것이다.
여호와의 영원한 사랑
(고통당하는 자가 마음이 상하여 근심을 여호와께 털어놓는 기도)
102 여호와여,
내 기도를 들으시고
나의 부르짖는 소리에
귀를 기울이소서.
2 내가 고통당할 때
주의 얼굴을 숨기지 마소서.
나에게 귀를 기울이시고
내가 부르짖을 때 속히 응답하소서.
3 내 인생이 연기같이 사라지며
내 뼈가 숯불처럼 타고 있습니다.
4 내 마음이 풀처럼 쇠잔하여
내가 음식 먹는 것도 잊어버렸으며
5 내가 탄식하므로
뼈와 가죽만 남았습니다.
6 나는 광야의 사다새처럼 되었고
황폐한 곳의 부엉이처럼
되었습니다.
7 내가 뜬 눈으로 밤을 새우니
지붕 위의 외로운 새와 같습니다.
8 내 원수들이 하루 종일
나를 모욕하고
나를 조롱하는 자들이 내 이름을
저주의 대명사로 쓰고 있습니다.
9 내가 재를 음식처럼 먹고
눈물을 음료수처럼 마십니다.
10 이것은 주께서 크게 노하셔서
나를 들어 던지셨기 때문입니다.
11 내 인생이 저녁 그림자 같고
시들어 가는 풀처럼 되었습니다.
12 그러나 여호와여,
주는 영원히 계시는 왕이시므로
모든 세대가
주의 이름을 기억할 것입니다.
13 주는 일어나
예루살렘에 자비를 베푸소서.
정한 때가 왔으니
지금은 시온을
불쌍히 여길 때입니다.
14 주의 종들이 시온의
돌 하나하나를 사랑하며
그 거리의 먼지 하나하나에도
연민의 정을 느낍니다.
15 온 세계가 여호와를 두려워하고
세상의 모든 왕들이
그의 영광스러운
능력을 무서워하리라.
16 여호와께서 시온을 건설하시고
그 영광 가운데 나타나셨다.
17 여호와께서 가난한 자의
기도를 들으시고
그들의 간구를 무시하지 않으셨다.
18 이 일이 앞으로 올 세대를 위해
기록될 것이니
아직 태어나지 않은 백성이
그를 찬양하리라.
19 여호와께서 높은 성소에서
내려다보시며
하늘에서 땅을 굽어살피시고
20 감옥에 갇힌 자들의
탄식을 들으시며
사형 선고를 받은 자들을
해방하셨다.
21 그러므로 그의 이름이
시온에서 선포되고
예루살렘에서 그가
찬양을 받으리라.
22 그때 세계의 모든 민족이 함께 모여
여호와께 경배할 것이다.
23 여호와께서 내 힘을 중도에서 꺾고
내 수명을 단축하셨으므로
24 나는 이렇게 말하였다.
“나의 하나님이시여,
나를 중년에 데려가지 마소서.
주는 영원히 사시는 분이십니다.
25 옛날 옛적에 주께서
땅의 기초를 놓으셨고
하늘도 주의 손으로
만드셨습니다.
26 하늘과 땅은 없어질 것이나
주는 영원히 살아 계실 것입니다.
그것들이 옷처럼 낡아
주께서 버리시면 사라질지라도
27 주는 변함없이 한결같으시고
주의 연대는 끝이 없을 것입니다.
28 그러나 우리 자손들은
항상 주 앞에서 살고
대대로 주의 보호를 받아
안전할 것입니다.”
여호와의 크신 은혜

103 내 영혼아,
여호와를 찬양하라!
내 속에 있는 것들아,
다 그의 거룩한 이름을 찬양하라.
2 내 영혼아,
여호와를 찬양하며
그의 모든 은혜를 잊지 말아라.
3 그가 너의 모든 죄를 용서하시며
너의 모든 병을 고치시고
4 네 생명을 파멸에서 구하시며
너에게 풍성한 사랑과
자비를 베풀고
5 [c]네 삶을 좋은 것으로
만족하게 하셔서
네 젊음을 독수리처럼
새롭게 하신다.
6 여호와께서
의로운 일을 행하시며
억압당하는 모든 사람을 위해
정당한 판결을 내리신다.
7 그가 자기 뜻을 모세에게 알리시고
이스라엘 백성에게
그의 놀라운 일을 보여 주셨다.
8 여호와는 자비롭고 은혜로우시며
쉽게 화를 내지 않으시고
사랑이 풍성하신 분이시니
9 항상 책망만 하지 않으시고
화를 영원히 품지 않으시리라.
10 그가 우리의 죄에 따라
처벌하지 않으시고
우리의 잘못을
그대로 갚지 않으시니
11 하늘이 땅에서 높은 것같이
자기를 두려워하는 자들에 대한
그의 사랑이 크기 때문이다.
12 동이 서에서 먼 것같이
그가 우리 죄를 멀리 옮기셨으며
13 아버지가
자식을 불쌍히 여기시듯이
여호와께서
자기를 두려워하는 자를
불쌍히 여기시니
14 우리가 어떻게
만들어진 것을 아시며
우리가 먼지에 불과한 존재임을
기억하심이라.
15 인생은 그 사는 날이 풀과 같고
그 영화가 들의 꽃과 같다.
16 바람이 불면 그 꽃은 떨어져
다시 볼 수 없으나
17 여호와의 사랑은
18 자기를 두려워하는 자에게
영원부터 영원까지 이르고
그의 의는
그의 계약을 지키고
그의 계명을 기억하여
그것을 행하는 자들의
자손 대대에 미친다.

하늘에 세우시고
거기서 온 우주를 다스리신다.

1 The Lord reigns,(A) let the earth be glad;(B)
let the distant shores(C) rejoice.
2 Clouds(D) and thick darkness(E) surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.(F)
3 Fire(G) goes before(H) him
and consumes(I) his foes on every side.
4 His lightning(J) lights up the world;
the earth(K) sees and trembles.(L)
5 The mountains melt(M) like wax(N) before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.(O)
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,(P)
and all peoples see his glory.(Q)
7 All who worship images(R) are put to shame,(S)
those who boast in idols(T)—
worship him,(U) all you gods!(V)
8 Zion hears and rejoices
and the villages of Judah are glad(W)
because of your judgments,(X) Lord.
9 For you, Lord, are the Most High(Y) over all the earth;(Z)
you are exalted(AA) far above all gods.
10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil,(AB)
for he guards(AC) the lives of his faithful ones(AD)
and delivers(AE) them from the hand of the wicked.(AF)

Psalm 98
A psalm.
1 Sing to the Lord(AL) a new song,(AM)
for he has done marvelous things;(AN)
his right hand(AO) and his holy arm(AP)
have worked salvation(AQ) for him.
2 The Lord has made his salvation known(AR)
and revealed his righteousness(AS) to the nations.(AT)
3 He has remembered(AU) his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth(AV) have seen
the salvation of our God.(AW)
4 Shout for joy(AX) to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,(AY)
with the harp and the sound of singing,(AZ)
6 with trumpets(BA) and the blast of the ram’s horn(BB)—
shout for joy(BC) before the Lord, the King.(BD)
7 Let the sea(BE) resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.(BF)
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,(BG)
let the mountains(BH) sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.(BI)

1 The Lord reigns,(BJ)
let the nations tremble;(BK)
he sits enthroned(BL) between the cherubim,(BM)
let the earth shake.
2 Great is the Lord(BN) in Zion;(BO)
he is exalted(BP) over all the nations.
3 Let them praise(BQ) your great and awesome name(BR)—
he is holy.(BS)
4 The King(BT) is mighty, he loves justice(BU)—
you have established equity;(BV)
in Jacob you have done
what is just and right.(BW)

and worship at his footstool;

Samuel(CA) was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord

they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.
8 Lord our God,
you answered them;
you were to Israel a forgiving God,(CD)
though you punished(CE) their misdeeds.[b]
9 Exalt the Lord our God
and worship at his holy mountain,
for the Lord our God is holy.

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy(CF) to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord(CG) with gladness;
come before him(CH) with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.(CI)
It is he who made us,(CJ) and we are his[c];
we are his people,(CK) the sheep of his pasture.(CL)
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving(CM)
and his courts(CN) with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.(CO)
5 For the Lord is good(CP) and his love endures forever;(CQ)
his faithfulness(CR) continues through all generations.

Of David. A psalm.
1 I will sing of your love(CS) and justice;
to you, Lord, I will sing praise.
2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life(CT)—
when will you come to me?
I will conduct the affairs(CU) of my house
with a blameless heart.
3 I will not look with approval
on anything that is vile.(CV)
I hate what faithless people do;(CW)
I will have no part in it.
4 The perverse of heart(CX) shall be far from me;
I will have nothing to do with what is evil.
5 Whoever slanders their neighbor(CY) in secret,
I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes(CZ) and a proud heart,
I will not tolerate.
6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless(DA)
will minister to me.
7 No one who practices deceit
will dwell in my house;
no one who speaks falsely
will stand in my presence.
8 Every morning(DB) I will put to silence
all the wicked(DC) in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer(DD)
from the city of the Lord.(DE)
Psalm 102[d]
A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the Lord.
1 Hear my prayer,(DF) Lord;
let my cry for help(DG) come to you.
2 Do not hide your face(DH) from me
when I am in distress.
Turn your ear(DI) to me;
when I call, answer me quickly.
3 For my days vanish like smoke;(DJ)
my bones(DK) burn like glowing embers.
4 My heart is blighted and withered like grass;(DL)
I forget to eat my food.(DM)
5 In my distress I groan aloud(DN)
and am reduced to skin and bones.
6 I am like a desert owl,(DO)
like an owl among the ruins.
7 I lie awake;(DP) I have become
like a bird alone(DQ) on a roof.
8 All day long my enemies(DR) taunt me;(DS)
those who rail against me use my name as a curse.(DT)
9 For I eat ashes(DU) as my food

12 But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever;(DZ)

for it is time(EE) to show favor(EF) to her;
the appointed time(EG) has come.
14 For her stones are dear to your servants;
her very dust moves them to pity.
15 The nations will fear(EH) the name of the Lord,
all the kings(EI) of the earth will revere your glory.
16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion(EJ)

17 He will respond to the prayer(EL) of the destitute;
he will not despise their plea.
18 Let this be written(EM) for a future generation,
that a people not yet created(EN) may praise the Lord:
19 “The Lord looked down(EO) from his sanctuary on high,
from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners(EP)
and release those condemned to death.”
21 So the name of the Lord will be declared(EQ) in Zion
and his praise(ER) in Jerusalem
22 when the peoples and the kingdoms
assemble to worship(ES) the Lord.
23 In the course of my life[e] he broke my strength;
he cut short my days.(ET)
24 So I said:
“Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days;
your years go on(EU) through all generations.
25 In the beginning(EV) you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens(EW) are the work of your hands.(EX)
26 They will perish,(EY) but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same,(EZ)
and your years will never end.(FA)
28 The children of your servants(FB) will live in your presence;
their descendants(FC) will be established before you.”
Psalm 103
Of David.
1 Praise the Lord,(FD) my soul;(FE)
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.(FF)
2 Praise the Lord,(FG) my soul,
and forget not(FH) all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins(FI)
and heals(FJ) all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life(FK) from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,(FL)
5 who satisfies(FM) your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed(FN) like the eagle’s.(FO)
7 He made known(FR) his ways(FS) to Moses,
his deeds(FT) to the people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,(FU)
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;(FV)
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve(FW)
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love(FX) for those who fear him;(FY)
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions(FZ) from us.
13 As a father has compassion(GA) on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,(GB)
he remembers that we are dust.(GC)
15 The life of mortals is like grass,(GD)
they flourish like a flower(GE) of the field;
16 the wind blows(GF) over it and it is gone,
and its place(GG) remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children(GH)—
18 with those who keep his covenant(GI)
and remember(GJ) to obey his precepts.(GK)
20 Praise the Lord,(GN) you his angels,(GO)
you mighty ones(GP) who do his bidding,(GQ)
who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,(GR)
you his servants(GS) who do his will.

everywhere in his dominion.

and consumes(I) his foes on every side.
4 His lightning(J) lights up the world;
the earth(K) sees and trembles.(L)
5 The mountains melt(M) like wax(N) before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.(O)
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,(P)
and all peoples see his glory.(Q)

A psalm.
1 Sing to the Lord(AL) a new song,(AM)
for he has done marvelous things;(AN)

2 The Lord has made his salvation known(AR)
and revealed his righteousness(AS) to the nations.(AT)
3 He has remembered(AU) his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth(AV) have seen
the salvation of our God.(AW)
4 Shout for joy(AX) to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;

1 Shout for joy(CF) to the Lord, all the earth.

It is he who made us,(CJ) and we are his[c];

1 I will sing of your love(CS) and justice;
to you, Lord, I will sing praise.

when will you come to me?
I will conduct the affairs(CU) of my house
with a blameless heart.
3 I will not look with approval
on anything that is vile.(CV)
I hate what faithless people do;(CW)
I will have no part in it.
4 The perverse of heart(CX) shall be far from me;
I will have nothing to do with what is evil.
5 Whoever slanders their neighbor(CY) in secret,
I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes(CZ) and a proud heart,
I will not tolerate.
6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless(DA)
will minister to me.
7 No one who practices deceit
will dwell in my house;

A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the Lord.
1 Hear my prayer,(DF) Lord;
let my cry for help(DG) come to you.
2 Do not hide your face(DH) from me
when I am in distress.
Turn your ear(DI) to me;
when I call, answer me quickly.
3 For my days vanish like smoke;(DJ)
my bones(DK) burn like glowing embers.
4 My heart is blighted and withered like grass;(DL)
I forget to eat my food.(DM)
5 In my distress I groan aloud(DN)
and am reduced to skin and bones.

“Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days;
your years go on(EU) through all generations.
25 In the beginning(EV) you laid the foundations of the earth,

they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
