니느웨에 대한 여호와의 분노
1 이것은 엘고스 사람 나훔이 니느웨에 대하여 계시받은 말씀이다.
2 여호와는 시기하시며 보복하시는 하나님이시다. 여호와는 보복하시며 분노하시되 자기 대적에게 보복하시고 자기 원수에게 분노를 품으신다.
3 여호와는 좀처럼 화를 내지 않으시고 그 능력이 크시지만 죄인을 벌하지 않은 채 그대로 내버려 두는 법이 없으시다. 여호와의 길은 회오리바람과 폭풍 속에 있고 구름은 그 발밑의 티끌이다.
4 그가 바다를 꾸짖어 말리시고 모든 강들을 마르게 하시니 바산 들과 갈멜산이 메마르고 레바논의 꽃이 시든다.
5 여호와 앞에서 높은 산들이 진동하고 야산이 녹으며 땅이 흔들리고 세계와 그 가운데 사는 모든 자들이 떠는구나.
6 누가 분노하신 여호와 앞에 설 수 있으며 누가 그의 무서운 진노에 살아 남을 수 있는가? 그가 진노를 불처럼 쏟으시므로 그 앞에서 바위들이 깨어진다.
7 여호와는 선하시고 환난 때에 피난처가 되시며 자기를 신뢰하는 자들을 보호하신다.
8 그가 큰 홍수로 자기 대적들을 쓸어 버리고 그들을 흑암으로 쫓아내실 것이다.
9 너희가 여호와께 무슨 음모를 꾸미느냐? 그가 너희를 완전히 멸망시킬 것이니 [a]다시 칠 필요가 없을 것이다.
10 뒤엉킨 가시덤불 같고 술 취한 사람 같은 그들은 바싹 마른 지푸라기처럼 불에 타서 없어질 것이다.
11 니느웨야, 여호와께 악을 꾀하는 한 사람이 네 가운데서 나와 악을 권유하고 있다.
12 여호와께서 말씀하신다. “[b]앗시리아 사람들이 아무리 강하고 수가 많아도 그들은 멸망하여 사라질 것이다. 유다야, 지금까지 내가 너를 괴롭혔으나 더 이상 너를 괴롭히지 않을 것이다.
13 이제 내가 앗시리아 왕이 메게 한 너의 멍에를 깨뜨리고 너를 묶고 있는 사슬을 끊어 버리겠다.”
14 니느웨야, 여호와께서 너에 대하여 말씀하셨다. “네 이름이 더 이상 존재하지 않을 것이다. 내가 너의 신전에 있는 우상들을 깨뜨려 버리고 너의 무덤을 준비하겠다. 이것은 네가 아주 더러워졌기 때문이다.”
15 보라, 좋은 소식을 가지고 평화를 전하는 자의 발이 산 위에 있다! 유다야, 네 명절을 지키고 네가 서약한 것을 이행하라. 악인들이 전멸되었으므로 그들이 다시는 네 땅을 침략하지 못할 것이다.

1 以下是关于尼尼微的预言，是伊勒歌斯人那鸿的启示书。
耶和华向尼尼微发怒
2 耶和华是痛恨不贞、施行报应的上帝。
耶和华施行报应，充满烈怒。
耶和华报应祂的仇敌，向他们发烈怒。
3 耶和华不轻易发怒，有伟大的能力。
耶和华断不以有罪的为无罪。
祂行走在旋风和暴风中，
云彩是祂脚下的尘土。
4 祂斥责大海，使大海干涸；
祂使一切河流枯竭。
巴珊和迦密的草木凋零，
黎巴嫩的鲜花衰残。
5 在祂面前，群山震动，丘陵消融。
在祂面前，大地隆起，
世界和世上的一切都战栗。
6 祂发怒，谁能站立？
祂发烈怒，谁能承受？
祂的愤怒如火焰喷涌而出，
磐石在祂面前崩裂。
7 耶和华是良善的，
是人患难时的避难所；
祂看顾那些信靠祂的人。
8 祂必用滔滔洪水灭绝祂的敌人，
把他们驱逐到黑暗中。
9 尼尼微人啊，
你们为何图谋抵挡耶和华？
祂要彻底毁灭你们，
无需击打两次。
10 你们像纠结的荆棘，
又像酩酊大醉的人，
要如干秸被火烧尽。
11 你们当中有一个人，
一个邪恶的阴谋者，
图谋抵挡耶和华。
12 耶和华说：
“尽管尼尼微势力强大、人口众多，
但必被铲除，化为乌有。
我的子民啊，我使你们受了苦，
但必不再使你们受苦。
13 现在我要打碎他们套在你们颈项上的轭，
松开你们身上的锁链。”
14 尼尼微啊，
耶和华已发出有关你的命令：
“你的名不会传于后世。
我要摧毁你神庙中雕刻和铸造的偶像。
我要为你掘好坟墓，
因为你毫无用处。”
15 看啊，
传喜讯、报平安的人穿山越岭而来。
犹大啊，
庆祝你的节期，
还你许的愿吧！
邪恶之人将不再侵扰你，
他们都将被彻底毁灭。

1 A prophecy(A) concerning Nineveh.(B) The book of the vision(C) of Nahum the Elkoshite.
The Lord’s Anger Against Nineveh
2 The Lord is a jealous(D) and avenging God;
the Lord takes vengeance(E) and is filled with wrath.
The Lord takes vengeance on his foes
and vents his wrath against his enemies.(F)
3 The Lord is slow to anger(G) but great in power;
the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.(H)
His way is in the whirlwind(I) and the storm,(J)
and clouds(K) are the dust of his feet.
4 He rebukes(L) the sea and dries it up;(M)
he makes all the rivers run dry.
Bashan and Carmel(N) wither
and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.
5 The mountains quake(O) before him
and the hills melt away.(P)
The earth trembles(Q) at his presence,
the world and all who live in it.(R)
6 Who can withstand(S) his indignation?
Who can endure(T) his fierce anger?(U)
His wrath is poured out like fire;(V)
the rocks are shattered(W) before him.
7 The Lord is good,(X)
a refuge in times of trouble.(Y)
He cares for(Z) those who trust in him,(AA)
8 but with an overwhelming flood(AB)
he will make an end of Nineveh;
he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.
9 Whatever they plot(AC) against the Lord
he will bring[a] to an end;
trouble will not come a second time.
10 They will be entangled among thorns(AD)
and drunk(AE) from their wine;
they will be consumed like dry stubble.[b](AF)
11 From you, Nineveh, has one come forth
who plots evil against the Lord
and devises wicked plans.
12 This is what the Lord says:
“Although they have allies and are numerous,
they will be destroyed(AG) and pass away.
Although I have afflicted you, Judah,
I will afflict you no more.(AH)
13 Now I will break their yoke(AI) from your neck
and tear your shackles away.”(AJ)
