But you, when you pray, (A)go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you [a]openly. And when you pray, (B)do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. (C)For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father (D)knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this (E)manner, therefore, pray:

(F)Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your (G)name.
10 Your kingdom come.
(H)Your will be done
On earth (I)as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our (J)daily bread.
12 And (K)forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 (L)And do not lead us into temptation,
But (M)deliver us from the evil one.
[b]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

But when you pray, (A)go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. (B)And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as (C)the Gentiles do, for (D)they think that they will be heard (E)for their many words. Do not be like them, (F)for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. (G)Pray then like this:

(H)“Our Father in heaven,
(I)hallowed be (J)your name.[a]
10 (K)Your kingdom come,
(L)your will be done,[b]
(M)on earth as it is in heaven.
11 (N)Give us (O)this day our daily bread,[c]
12 and forgive us our debts,

    but (Q)deliver us from (R)evil.[d]
